If you lose 10 derbies in a row then you are gone.
If you lose 2 in a row you should be half way out the door.

There’s no need for long posts about this.

He’s just simply gotta go.

I agree. He has to go after this. But you are kidding if you think we will somehow become a power club with a new coach. This club has failure coursing through it at all levels.

Quoting a famous Aussie driver “ there is something fundamentally wrong with this “......in our case it is the inability of a coach to get buy in from the playing group and translate that to a winning match day formula. Roly is a good media manipulator - an attribute that Rozich obviously admires - however, the team is imploding and that needs immediate attention. Belly needs to act this weekend. A player coach like Hodge would be wonderful... a guy who understands modern footy and how to galvanize players into a unified team.

If this is the performance of a team “as well prepared as we have ever been”, I would hate to see their performance after a bad day on the track. Will the freo curse be lifted after 25 years or is this a life long sentence?

Arguments about being a good or bad coach tend to be subjective, but Lyon has quite simply failed to get the best out of a decent playing group.
The door is open to act now and send a breath of fresh air through the camp.
Unfortunately, such an admission of failure of the administration's '5 year plan' makes it more convenient to look the other way, especially with Steve R in charge. Will the board act?
I would love to be proved wrong.

It sucks that I feel that this may need to happen. I am worried about how really bad things could get if it is the wrong choice but failure is feedback.
We have serious issues that are recurring it looks like it needs a circuit breaker, and the club making a statement that this is unacceptable. Sacking the coach gets this done.
I wish he would actually speak like he cares what the result was.

I would say there is a few coaches in the league that would swap our list for there own. There is not much wrong with our list...

They'll keep him til his contract runs out.

FFC is stuffed from the top down if they even think about renewing this clown. His use by date as a coach is at least 3 years old.

As I have said in another post sacking the coach is an option but not at this point. We don't have anyone in the current coaching group able to step in. Unless we were going to appoint an interim coach from outside the club I think we would be in worse shape. Can anyone say who in the current coaching group would be better? The danger of sacking him now is that we carry massive smashing's into next season, completely crushing the players confidence and triggering an exodus of the likes of Brayshaw and Cerra etc. Besides I think it needs to be more that just the coach, that's too easy.
