With Cripps, Curnow, Murphy and Walsh, his midfield stints haven't really been as in and under as I'd like for someone so clean and willing to put his body on the line. As a result he hasn't had the ball as much as he could purely because Carlton aren't often good enough to get it and feed him. It's always hard to give players so good with the footy outside, roles where than can get sucked into the contested footy and not have time to craft a disposal and be the elite delivery forward.
Yesterday he was able to play on the outside while also going inside with Cripps absent. He'll get better and so will Carlton but his potential is huge. I still think we missed out on a rare talent there.
