Does Doc Martin make footy boots?
That's what we'll need... air soled footy boots.

That's why they had to leave the moon buggy behind. Jim Irwin lost the keys in a crater trying to decide if he should bowl an extra quick.

It is my understanding, that the penetrometer does account for the cushioning effect of grass cover. Studies have shown that, however the cushioning effect is reduced with the amount of traffic on it.

Mr McKenna dismissed a persistent rumour that the reason for the hardness was that Optus Stadium’s turf was laid on concrete.

“The stadium was built on a swamp,” he said. “There was soil that was compressed to provide an impermeable layer and after that we laid down 400mm of gravel for drainage, 300mm of sand and then about 40mm of turf.

“You are talking about nearly a metre of stuff between the top of grass and the layer of dirt underneath it.”

Also worth mentioning that the Eagles are training on Optus Stadium again. It's almost as if it was just an excuse for losing from their coach. And Fremantle fell for it.

Has anyone thought of getting the best available running shoes molded with footy studs and see if that reduces foot injuries, it just makes sense.

Ps , if any of you run with this and it turns you into a millionaire please remember to cut me in , cheers

That sounds good from the stadium people, but if the sand they used is that standard yellow stuff the brickies use - which is the most common sand used in building sites in WA - it has a very high clay content that compacts rock hard if you wet it, compact it and let it dry in the sun. That why everyone uses it underneath pads here.
