Not sure how this all works but we need to give a few guys from the WAFL a go if we can :

Jai Bolton would walk into our midfield currently - Give the fella a chance!
Bennell from Perth should have been picked up last year - jet!
Cory Gault continues to impress me - I reckon he would step into a Ruck position in need, he is at his peak as a player
Not sure how Marlion Pickett has been travelling injury wise but if Parker is any indication and Kelly before him, he would excel in a AFL environment out of the kennel.

Always thought Higgins was an aggressive mobile ruck option who could give much more than Meek, Jones etc. Probably too old, and a bit of sffc bias...but he would be scary to play against.

At Freo, we would draft someone out of the WAFL in the mid-season draft, then make them play WAFL for the rest of the season.

Yeah were getting low on ruckmen, down to 3 playing at Peel and the best one injured.

Yeah our list management decisions on ruckman have left a fair bit to be desired.
As one poster said above - Higgins from SF would beat them all and he wouldnt get through a training session at AFL level let alone a game.

He'd get through a session at the bar and buffet.

The ruck has been an ongoing problem for a while now. I can’t see Lobb playing anywhere else for most of the season with Sandi injured and Darcy still developing. Which makes me wonder what they are thinking with Jones and Meek on the list. Neither is afl level. If you want a mature age back up I would have thought that you would pick someone dominating one of the local leagues around the country. Those two struggle at wafl level. Same goes for the midfield. The club has gone for Bewley and Schulz as mature age picks to make an instant impact. I appreciate that it is too early to call on both, but someone like Bolton would have been a better pick than Bewley in my opinion, with a fair bit more flair. And Schulz looks like a direct swap for Brady Grey. This club needs to find players with elite disposal and it should be the first thing they consider.
Demo is right. If the club participates in the mid season draft it will be interesting to see what they do.

Higgins probably could get a seniors card for cheap bus rides.

You are kidding, right, Goodie??? The present coaching box selecting a player because he has "flair"? You will be burnt at the stake if you show your face in Cockburn.

Anyone that can hit a leading target on the chest would be handy.

Lyon can't pick Flair because he's already aligned with Richmond.

WTB, anyone who is allowed to lead would be handier.

Well...before we start thinking about mid season drafts, how about we play some of the ones we've got. ??

Tom North surely must be ready to play - or am I missing something that his decent stats arent showing.

Mitch Crowden had skills before Roly got to him, but I cannot see what Shultz offers that Crowley doesnt. ?

And if it was good enough for Cerra & Brayshaw to be swumg straight in in 2018, why cant blokes like Sturt & Valente have similar opportunity?
