I have a question regarding this. I don't have the knowledge as I really don't follow the eagle's games.
Was this Gaffs first game in front of a home crowd since being suspended? If so, it would be fair to question if the claps were in relation to his return? Let's not forget, he is a solid player and by all reports, a good character when he isn't punching people.
If it was his second home game, then my question becomes, was the cheers as loud as the first game.
If they were louder, then I'd suggest the eagle's supporters are cheering him in spite of Fremantle.
macdaddy, it was his return game, having carried out the 8 match suspension. I noticed a number of slime supporters attempted to condone the actions of the supporters, stating that they were cheering him in support of loyalty/his decision to resign with the club, and because he had, and I quote, "been through a tough time". I have no words...No other player in their team received cheers on every occasion that they possessed the ball, and if his decision to remain with the club was the primary reason for cheering him upon every possession, why wasn't Kennedy, who has also recently resigned, cheered as well?
