He has been our leading goalscorer in one or two seasons. Not that something like 20 or 30 odd goals is that massive of course. Or that it is unusual for a small forward to lead the goal kicking especially when he spends time in the midfield.

If you take a look at the stats, CA, over the last 3 or so years, he has kicked most of his goals while playing as a midfielder. ( I guess this is not as unusual as it may seem, given if he had been playing as a forward, he would have had to kick goals from half back.)

I just got an email from the membership people asking me to check my Account No. and my Barcode - if my card was incorrect they wanted to know.

It was indeed incorrect - sure the numbers were right, but I got a Cockburn Control generic card instead of the Cam McCarthy picture one. So I let them know, adding that I would begrudgingly use the one they sent on Sunday - but only if the named Cam in the starting 22. Otherwise I'll just bugger-off to Basso and watch Josh Simpson instead.

GO CAM!

Do we think there's an opportunity to make things simpler for Cam McCarthy?

What do you mean Hypen? Like him Joining Lachie at Brisbane, or us sacking the coach? I know which one is more likely to happen

I would think so.

One trick coaches have always used for players out of form is the old idea - 'just go out and get a kick'.

Do you reckon Ross has ever said that to a player? I reckon he's more inclined to go with "Just out and man your zone". Which might keep the coach happy but it's not great for your confidence.

Two scenarios. What's more plausible in terms of Ross Lyons style?

How do you play your best football, what do you feel most comfortable doing?

Or, this is how we play football and this is your role.

I'm not advocating everyone gets to do their own thing. But a great starting point in developing a way of playing would be pitching to individual strengths.

I think Lyon puts players through the sausage maker.

Can't remember which game, but there was one last year where Cammac played pretty well. He can play, and it looks like he gets a chance to show it on Sunday.
