Swans got 5 or 6 goals from taking the ball away from a contest in which a Freo kick should have been awarded for illegal disposal/holding the ball, and 3 from push in the back in the contest. The first 2 goals in the second half were disgraceful decisions by the umpires. This happens every week, yet no-one is accountable. ( except the Freo players who "cant tackle" and "don't hold their ground in a contest".
Yeah go on, say the umpires didn't lose us the game. But in the close ones those decisions are still paid the same way, and they do lose us the game. B Hill had a free paid for a push in the back in our goalsquare, Buddy got away with 3 of those. Freo laid 2 tackles 15 out from our goal, ball dropped both times, no free, then Swans get goal at the other end.
They claim Fyfe and Neale are lazy for not running to contests. Pretty hard to run when you are dragging a 95 kilo lump of weight along with you. I watched some of the other games today, and we seem to be alone in consistently not having these frees paid.
