tv footage only showed spurr getting up off the ground,and walking fairly quickly past ballas and brushing his shoulder with his shoulder,,ballas then said something,not being a lip reader ,it did not look too complimentary though.
there was no smiling of joking from either of them.

Good indicator of the pressure players are feeling to keep a spot in the side. Ballas has missed a bit of footy through injury and suspension and coupled with an average year by his standards last year, he will be keen to impress. The young guns are circling like sharks ready to make their move.

Spurr's done a bit or rehab recently for a non-Ballas related niggle that kept him out of the last NAB game so he was probably just telling Ballas not to stuff him up for Round 1 - or maybe just reminding Ballas that he replaced him in the leadership group.
