As a Hawthorn supporter for the next 24 hours, I was just wondering how longer term Hawthorn supporters have solved the tricky issue of their teams colours and the time honoured tradition of wearing lucky underpants. I can't see a workable solution. Perhaps I'm just not committed enough.

You know what I am thinking that I hate Hawks even more. Hodge, Lewis, Mitchell, Lake etc are just a bunch of thugs, given a license by the umpires - it's a miracle Mitchell was eligible for a Brownlow.

All I can hope for is aliens to land on the MCG at halftime and the game to be indefinitely postponed because we've been invaded by martians.

For me, it is also a huge dilemma as to who to support. I think it is because it is the Hawks players (Hodge, Lewis, Mitchell, Lake etc) I detest, (even Roughie who I quite liked, has sounded really smug when interviewed lately) whereas with WCE, it is not so much the players as the ignorant, arrogant supporter base that make them so intolerable.

We don't have to deal with the players (of which the biting, cheating OOFTITS are worse anyway), we deal with other fans. It's the easiest of decisions, carn the Hawks! I wanna see Mitchell running round with both knees raised, Hodge belting blokes late left right and center while Cyril is being delicious around goals.
