Arrogant Hawk pr**ks. Signalling to all that they'll play *extra* dirty. What's another word for unsociable? Outright cheating, kneeing opposition players, high hits into the goal posts. Call it what it is.

BTW, as we saw this past week, Hawks supporters calling into radio stations, complaining bitterly about the umpiring when they played against the Weagles. Worked a treat - the umps rolled over and let the Hawks rub their tummies against the Crows. Never thought I'd say this, but Hawks supporters are coming close to Weagles supporters' level of arrogance. It might just be because I run into fewer Hawks supporters living in WA.

I agree Corporal Agarn, I just looked up the frees for and against in a similar match , Rnd 15 Hawks vs Freo in Tassie, we lost by 72 points and the frees were Hawks 21 vs Freo 12, that is how you would expect it to go when a team is dominating a game, all I can conclude from this is , it pays not to complain about the umpires.

The Frees were 11 to 13 at one stage.
Most of the Crows frees came after the game was already out of reach.
Even then I still see things like Puopolo run at least 25m (easily calculated using 10m mow strips, 17 steps at full pace) in to an open goal in the fourth quarter. You have Hodge holding down Thompson after Thompson was awarded a free kick (vs Hodge) for about 10 seconds with Razor Ray standing over them watching doing nothing about it except to call time off and back on when Hodge finally decides to let Thompson go (no 50m penalty).
Gone to bigfooty where there's fewer Docker Haters.

Yes, the point is made: when the game was 'hot' it's some of the no-calls that are as damaging as the obvious free kicks. The lack of a free kick paid to Eddie Betts for a clear head high hit that gets swept under the carpet and is part of a package called 'unsociable' football.

I think apart from Hodge, Lewis and Mitchell Hawthorn are not a hard team at all.

The unsociable Hawks is a bit of a myth. Spoke to a someone who was in the Sydney changerooms after the Freo game and he reckons the players were saying it was the most brutal game they had played in, half of them couldn't walk. It showed last night. We got them covered physically.

Its getting the ball off them that is the hard part.

I like our chances in Perth.

Hey Vicmont read that carefully, bloody meedja ya can't trust them.

"The Dockers have had the tightest defence in the competition, conceding 71 points per game, but their scoring remains an issue, having averaged only 77 points since round nine."

Why did they use the whole season for the concede total but only select "since round 9" for the for total?

For the home and away season I make it 84 points for 71 against and that includes the dead rubber Bmantle round 23 game against Port which was a 122 to 53 blowout.
