He is getting there, each game he shows a bit more. I know he makes the odd error with his kicking but he is developing really well.

Ignoring his out of bounds on the full i think he played well back there.

Don't forget Barra Mundy used to be a crab, Ibbo was a major crab for years. Now potential AAs. These Crabs can develop into pretty hand players.
I think Sheridan is showing something (Hypen right again) and I think Tabs will one day wake up and be suddenly able to mark and A Pearce will be a 200 gamer plus. We are going OK.
Also disposal skills can suddenly improve. Remember Masteny and Schoey and Gaffy et al couldn't hit the side of a barn only two years ago and now they look like real players. If they can do it, our crabs can too.

We thought Tom Sheridan was among our best players last night. 25 disposals, some very brave acts. Only two clangers (Fyfe 6) including the out of bounds on a night made for them, only gave away one free kick on a night the umpires were looking to punish us.

His improvement is rapid, his disposal very much better, his confidence in our defensive structure solid and growing. We won the game because we held Sydney to only six goals, and he was one of the reasons why.

Our goalkickers seemed to handle the wind okay. It was skill errors that let the Swans down, referred pressure and scoreboard pressure has a lot to do with that. While Freo never got 60 points in front at any stage, scoreboard pressure early then only using the petrol necessary to win seems to be the Roly plan circa 2015. It has worked better than the plans of the other 17 coaches so far this year. Long may that trend continue. ( the working better than the other coaches I mean)

Sheridan is getting better every game. In a high pressure final mistakes will be made (even Fyfey made a couple). Sheridan is fast and brave and will be in our back six for many years.

Sheridan played a very good game yesterday. There was one period of play in the second quarter where he made repeated tackles and blocks and sprints (4 efforts I counted) to repel a Sydney attack. As others have stated on here I think he has taken some time to feel like he belongs in the team, but right now, he has found his confidence and this is being translating into how he plays.

For a while I thought he didn't have it but I've been turned by his improvement and I'm impressed by his intestinal fortitude. But his kicking remains a worry.

He does well in every area, but his disposal is not the best, and I would not rate it any better than D Pearce who cops a bit of flack at times.
