TOPIC: What if.... Hawthorn?

So Norf's choice means Sydney can't rest players against GC.

While I am, in theory, not happy with this, in practice, it probably means we come up against a tired Sydney at Subi on the second Saturday in September. So I'm happy for Norf to ditch the match.

Of course, if Sydney actually go down to GC, then we'd be playing Richmond in the first week of finals. Which means it would be up to us to cruelly dash tiger fans hopes.

I think that in professional sport, every game should be played on it's own merits, regardless of where the season is at but you have to be realistic. North Melbourne will not play the game to win.

Whether they rest players by not playing them or they stand around not running as hard as they might normally, they are going to try and protect their best players for the finals. There's nothing you can do to stop that from happening. At least by resting players, you're bringing in players who will go their hardest and put in a good showing.

Unfortunately for Sydney, if they wanted to rest players then they should have won another game and not put themselves at the mercy of North Melbourne and Richmond.

Who you pick is who you pick. The key is you try your best. Integrity is not based on capability it's based on intent and effort.

I'm with Polly - I would hate to meet WC in the first round. If they let SK beat them so they can drop to 4th place, I reckon we should bring back Kickett, Solomon and the tougher Carr.

Raglan Matt
Dale Kickett in the green vest will do the job. I'm sure they haven't forgotten their history, even WITH their use of mind altering substances

Agreed Slammen, that was awesome viewing...is there anyone on our current list capable of this coming off the back of the square and hitting opposition players in his full speed, kamikaze raging-bull style? Atm, only player I can think of is Ballas...

Edit - suppose that there is Mzungu and De Pig too...
