Remember when the AFL brought in this ham-fisted rule?

So, my reading of the rule is that we can rest our players if they are 'fatigued'. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if half our team comes down with periostitis this week.

Pav got subbed, so obviously he needs a rest. Sutcliffe's shoulder popped out, so he'll need a week off. For at least some of the game Spurr was hobbling. Did you notice how we were having to rest Mundy at full forward?

Did anyone else notice any niggles?

All that rule did was legitimise what Roly did in 2013. It specifically says you can do what you want provided you aren't manipulating the draft or ladder positions heading into finals. Roly didn't do that, so all was sweet. Same deal now - letting Port win won't impact the finals series one iota.

Rather than rest ten or so guys, why not play Sandi, Mundy, Hill etc for Peel. This way they don't need to travel but get a little bit of match fitness.
