Noddy bit harsh on Mayne.

Not a forward on our list who averages more marks than him per game in 2015.

Only midfielder who averages more is Neale.

And the only blokes ahead of him (by 1 or 2 per game) all play in back six where they kick it to each other unopposed.

So he is taking more marks per game than Pav, Fyfe, Mundy, our ruckman, and Walters.

Well therein lies the problem, we don't have anyone taking enough marks inside the 50 to kick goals. Not much point marking the ball outside 50 if you are the CHF, unless you can kick like Clancee. I have nothing against Mayne as a player, he'd make a great Half fwd.

Name one CHF in the league currently who takes lots of marks inside 50 and kicks lots of goals? I don't they exist anymore.

Buddy in my book is the only one; maybe Nick Riewoldt. And Buddy is a freak footballer and now his back is stuffed may spend more time inside 50, and Nick is a freak athlete. The rest of them are meant to mark it up the ground and provide an option for the mids and defenders as they look up the ground.

Schulz 19/40 he moves around a bit but plays FF/CHF
Mayney kicked from 23 games in 2014 13 goals, and so far in 2015 has kicked from 18 games 24 goals.

I've left out some guns, but I'd sure like for us to have one.
