Wow, Tabs can't even get a look in even with Pav out, Roly must be seriously unhappy with him...

Is Chris Mayne the shortest CHF in the AFL?

I think we are tanking.

Be surprised if Dawson didn't get a run with North's tall forward line. Current match-ups have Lee Spurr (183cm) on Ben Brown (200cm) - not sure that'll work!

Would also expect Griff & Sandi to rotate through the forward line.

So that leaves two of de Pig, Zac C, Crozier, Blakely & Langdon to pick.

Unless Rosco is going to make some statement from last weeks (controlled) loss, I'd expect de Pig and Crozier to hold their spots - if not swap the green vest. I though we looked much better last week once Crozier came on.

Strange to pick Blakely and Langdon and not choose one of them to make their debut - sub.
Clarke may get the nod ahead of Griff for this game. Dawson in and Crozier too.

Time for goals from the mids and half forwards.

I like Son son closer to goals.
Nearly a 3 Pearce attack with Danyl down there.
What happened to Clancee, I was almost certain he would get a run.

Roos have to turnaround a 70+ Pts lost to Freo in Rd 8 to win on Sun. They've lost Ziebel but have gained Swallow and Dal Santo, and we'll be without Pav and Ballas this time around. I see this game a similar scenario to when we played Rich a few rounds back at the MCG. We went in as underdogs back then, like we will on Sun, even though we're sitting No. 1 on the ladder. So we're certainly going in with a weaker side this time around. I'm convinced after last week's derby that it's not about who's not available. It's about the 22 that take the field and their mindset. We'll see how desperate Freo are.

One of Clancee's first kicks in last week's Peel game went straight to a Slimy Cockroach about 30m out from goal.

Roly doesn't look too kindly to such turnovers. You need to do a lot of good things to make up for that kind of failure.
I like Clancee, but his old reliable ways seem to have gone missing in the second half of this year.
Gone to bigfooty where there's fewer Docker Haters.

If Roly doesn't like those sort of turnovers that Clancee managed then half our team would be out from last week. 38 possessions for Peel was about double from most of the rest.

CA, very few of our turnovers resulted in goals.
The slimes 3rd come from a Mzungu shocker at our half back and their 7th come from an A.Pearce out of bounds on the full on the wing, but that's very different to Clancee's clanger (a short kick from defensive boundary towards the centre to an uncontested mark and goal for E.Perth).
IMO, Clancee was dropped to the magoos because of his costly turnovers.
I like him, but he's recently got some costly jitters in his game that he needs to get rid of.
And even 40 possessions in the magoos still gets a Pffft from Roly if you're still not ticking all his boxes.

I would've given Duffy a run. He's had almost 2 games back from injury and is looking pretty good - had he been ready to go, it was a certainty to bring him in when Hayden went down. Now Pav's out - which means a big gap in the forward 50. In my thinking around our team, Duffy is the bloke we need.

Having said all that, I would think Langdon would come in over Connor (who will end up in the vest until Mundy gets pooped) - unless Mickey is still plodding along, then Connor in (for Mick), Hendrix for Man Mountain with Lé Pig in the vest.
