I think it's time to send the AwFL, Hawks and Tassie politicians a real financial, supporter and player message re forcing Freo to play in Antarctica most years - it is so unfair & such an insult to send travelling, interstate sides there. The actions should be:
I. NO fans to travel to Tassie so there is ZERO income to the state from fixturing Freo in Tassie. Make them realise it is too far and too expensive to travel from WA to Tassie for a weekend and they'll get more revenue from a big Vic team that's only $50/30mins away.
ii. Only send the "C" team to give everyone a rest - we can hardly lose any more percentage than in previous years sending the "A" team!
iii. Make sure the "C" team does as much damage to Hawks players as is reasonably possible e.g badly corked thighs to Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis, Lake, Puopolo, Hale et al and by constantly crashing heavily into anyone else in the contest who has been getting away with scragging our players and being protected by the umps. Won't matter if one or two get fined or suspended - it will serve them right and not impact on our "A" team!
They'll think twice about sending Freo there in future and possibly even send their "B" side meaning even fewer attendees at the game - another win for us!!
