Jayden Pitt - heart irregularity ... poor lad, his heart couldn't bear the weight of Hasleby's number 4 guernsey.
Gone to bigfooty where there's fewer Docker Haters.

Different code, different country, but you'd be hard pressed to "beat" Scottish soccer player Ian Hendry's top level career for brevity. Broke his leg 20 seconds into his debut for Hibernian in 1981. He did manage 1 come back game a year later but hopes of a top level career were over.

The rugby league guy-McKinnon wasn't it? I also remember a similar result in the AFL a fair while back to Neil Sasche.

Walter the baker Career-Ending Injuries 5 years 4 months ago #18

Walter the baker
Walter the Baker. Heaps of potential. Closely examined by recruiting scouts with a view to developing into an A grade, AA potential, wing come forward flanker. Good turn of speed but a bit of an outside receiver. Cruely cut down by wonky knees and a lack of willingness to commit to extra training. Could've been anything.

FDB:

Knew where the goals were... sometimes found them.

Cruelled by crushed ankle at age 39. What could he have been???

Well, if we're going that path.....

Built a specialist career at left right out. Career came to a shuddering halt when the coach took a severe facial injury from excessive face palming.

What might have been!

Roger Hayden ended up with a long term foot injury he couldn't recover from..........

It still hurts to think he could have played at least another 3-4 seasons including 2013.

Homer J. Simpson - felled by a softball to the head.

Actually a significant US tv event...

On Feb. 20, 1992, more American homes tuned into The Simpsons than they did The Cosby Show or the Winter Olympics from Albertville, France. A foul-mouthed cartoon on a fourth-place network bested the Huxtables and the world's best amateur athletes. Fox over NBC and CBS—its first-ever victory in prime time. New over old.
