OK, given it's Pav's testimonial and he deserves for us to have his back, here's what Blind Mick and many of the other Pav knockers did not see last night;
Freo kicked 12 goals and won the match.
5 of those goals came within seconds after the ball was driven i50 to a Pav marking contest where he brought the ball down to the smaller Freo forwards.
On more than one of those 5 occasions he was being infringed and no free paid.
Most of those 5 occasions were more than a one on one. For example, Pav and Sandi vs 4 Collingwood defenders. 15 seconds later with the ball locked in our forward zone Barlow marks, then kicks the goal.
Other than those 5, Pav was also involved in the Handball i50 to Hannath to De Boar to Neale & goal. Another Pav led up and marked on wing, delivered the i50 which resulted in Clancy's goal.
So Pav was involved in (at least) 7 of Freos 12 match winning goals that I can easily see on the replay.
Pav, you are a champ, and those willing to actually watch what you do for the TEAM know what you're worth.
