Okay, we've talked about how we have 16 certainties picked each week and you need to have good depth in your squad to go all the way. Well, I'm starting to lose patience and wonder where some of our fringe players are going.

To have Crozier taken off so early doesn't look like he's really stepped up and grabbed his chance. Suban contributed very little again when he came on. They seem to be trying to make Sheridan into a half back where looks completely out of his depth and Hannath contributed nothing. The only one of these fringe players to step up was De Boer.

Time to give some others like Blakely a go imo.

Oh, and don't get me going on Sutcliffe's woeful kicking and missing targets when coming out of the backline.....under no pressure.

Agreed in principle

Hopefully Clarke going back to Peel gives him a rocket or lets whatever is going on with his knee settle.

Bring in Johno in 8 weeks - he is so so important with structure down back and intercept possessions.

Sutcliffe - yep rusty, love him, week or two in Mcgoos might do him well.

Disagree about Suban. His job tonight was as a shutdown player for the opposition's midfield. I thought he did that to perfection. He was in and under, up and at-em, and forcing the opposition midfielders into rushed disposals. Suban did his job tonight.

What I thought we really missed was a tall forward who can mark the footy. At the start of the year, Zac Clark was performing this role. At present, it is Pav.

Sandi doesn't clunk them. Nor does Tabernar or Hannath. We need Zac back.

Someone probably missed that when Suban came on all of a sudden things weren't flowing out to the overlap handball for Collingwood. Probably just a coincidence (as well) that our forward pressure never really clicked until late in the third. A wingman came off and a midfield digger came on - made sense to me at the time.

What is it, 4 or 5 games now and I still can't work out how Sheridan gets a gig. Play any one of Tendai, Blakely or Weller and you'll get much better results.

The difference was when Suban came on, De Boer shifted further forward to provide more forward defensive pressure, which crozier wasnt providing. Suban basically replaced DB in the mids and DB replaced crozier. According to RoLy in the presser anyways..
