I don't mind the trades, handy when you get a player or two playing in the lower leagues, being played out of position or short term injured.
We also draft before round 1 so I think its a good idea if the draft isn't the be all and end all.
An idea might be to dispense with trades and LTI's, and replace with a 4 week rule, whereby you can trade out only after a player has missed 4 consecutive weeks, with no further trades after a certain date, say 30th June.
Or, just allow each squad to add just 1 player anytime after the draft, which gives some protection if your rucks go walkabouts.
Either way its all good fun.
