Round 17 in the 2024 premiership race will be defining for many a team. Disillusionment and hope will be shared in equal amounts.
  • Boss Hog v The Blocker: WillsieAir looks to be locked into the top four but the Dukes will inflict a dent to The Blocker’s aspirations. Boss Hog by eleven points.
  • Cookie v The Colonel: Sorry, but the Trannies will be overpowered by seventeen points.
  • MattyT v Bizkit: This will be close. El Primero has a squad that should give them the win by ten points or so, but Biz has the knack of maximising his team’s output on the day. The Stars by two points and MattyT slides out of the top four.
  • Slammo-Jnr v Moptop: The Saviours need to keep winning to keep their top eight prospects alive. Unfortunately, Moppy’s Rabbits will offer no favours and will win by eight.
  • Straddo v CaptDazza: The Souls haven’t had a good year and I can’t see anything miraculous saving them. The Jokers by seventeen points and Straddo drops out of the eight.
  • BT v FD: A win for FD and the Bay Bros are back in the eight, but El Bombres can score big as shown by their If-Only scores. Can BT put his players in the right spots? History says, “No”. Bay Bros by nine.
