So after the trade period is over, where to now?

How many spots on the list do we have, how many draft picks will we use, will some players without a contract for next season actually get one or will that be decided after the draft?

With 3 players still uncontracted (Knobel, Emmett and Jones), it will depend on what happens there. My understanding is that Emmett is being moved to the rookie list, they want to hold onto Knobel and are unsure about Jones. We will have 3 or 4 list spots to use draft picks on depending on whether Jones is re-signed or not.

Pretty much as Biz says, except I haven't heard anything about Emmett. The unsigned for 2025 are Emmett and Knobel on main list; Jones rookie.
Current rookies are Sharp, Worner, Jones, Voss, and Reidy.
Draper Cat B to be elevated for 2026.

Not sure what number Shai will get, maybe 15. 16 is still there, as are 19 and 20. His Dad's # was 40, currently Delean.

Anyway, TL;DR: 2 main list spots available, plus 3 rookie spots currently I think, must draft 3 at ND, so as Biz indicated maybe Emmet delisted and re-rookied. Seems risky. Wouldn't try it with Knobel though. And can add a Cat B, maybe yer man Ultan Kelm is still in play

I think we need a new developing key forward, we moved on Tabs, Kuek and Corbett. We have Voss but he needs to work on his radar.
I also think we need to find the next mercurial small forward with Walters on the way out and switta is 27. Emmett will be lucky to hold his spot on the list for another year.
Knobel needs to stay on the list, haven't seen enough of Jones to know what he will offer.
The rest of the ground we’ve now got some depth.
Lets hope we get some improvement across the board from lots of the young fellas and it could be an exciting year ahead.

Are their any delistings from other clubs who are worth a rookie list spot? Culley. Grainger-Barrass?? I'd be happy to have Kuek or Emmett or some of the Claremont colts Premiership team though.

Well, we were seriously chasing Jack Martin at one stage for a spot on the main list so it's only due diligence that we actually look at all players who have now come available and are young enough to still be worth a shot just on the Rookie list where we only have to commit for a year and it' doesn't necessarily cost us much. Not talking about old hacks like Gaff. Surely that's what we did with Voss and he is not disappointing with his whole hearted efforts to grab a spot in our best 23.
