I think both Johnson and Raz have great futures ahead of them in Purple but surprised and disappointed that Raz didn't get more opportunities in the season just completed.

I'm conflicted about Erasmus because on the one hand he's been dealt a rough hand with limited opportunities, and on the other hand I honestly don't think he's taken his chances they've presented themselves.

It's about this age that players like him start to make an impact. Hopefully 2025 will be a big year for him. If it's not, then it's not going to happen for him at Freo.

As for Brodie, I'm glad he's staying. He became a fringe player at Gold Coast and now Freo, so I'm not sure there's many other options available to him other than to stay, put in the hard yards at Peel, and be ready to take an opportunity in the team when if it presents itself.

I think Erasmus will be like Henry. Initially Henry looked out of his depth in the AFL, but the club persisted with him and his confidence grew, and he became a good player. Ras is the one I'm most worried will go elsewhere and become "the one that got away".

RR, one okayish game out of 43 does not make Henry a good player. Erasmus has shown much more promise than Henry ever did and will get his chances in 2025.

If you're not in the best 23, you're not in the best 23. Unless there are player rotations or injuries, players have to take the chance that's given to them.

Emmett did this in 2023 and played in 2024. Playing someone for 5 or 6 games doesn't cut it, no player should be carried for that amount of games. Two or three at the most, then you're dropped.

It happened to Henry and Sturt initially but they turned it around. If Erasmus plays like he did in the WAFL finals, perhaps he'll get his chance.

Brodie is not getting a game any time soon, either there are no offers for him or he needs to get a new manager.
