Just asking the question how he stacks up after 136 games & 7 yrs at the club, and being a #2 pick?
T hought his 3 & 4th years might see him be a more dominate player than he currently is.

I did say, he bleeds purple; ... that hes a great bloke; leader, and, i respect the guy. He has a good go.. He doesn't give up. All great attrIbutes...

But, we aren' gonna get a bloke like Worner with just cash. Someone good will have to go.

That was the premise of my query/ statement.

Is it Brayshaw? - many developIng clubs would want what but he offers. He'd be a great captain. Might well be ours
Is it Hodor? ...i'm not certain i want to give up Hodor., and have him push our ruckman around, like he does to all others....

I don't understand the premise that someone has to go to bring Warner in. It's absolutely not true and no one has suggested that in this forum let alone the media.

We're loaded up with draft capital for once and the AFL is looking at opening up not just the following years draft picks for trading but multiple years in the future. Then there's the salary cap increasing by 30% on top of Freo already having a large war chest to go shopping with given we have a large number of young players on front ended contracts. We are in the PERFECT position to poach players and top up ahead of an extended premiership run.

Saying otherwise is dooming for the sake of it. Andi's going nowhere.

The premise is this, Biz.... it would be a form of lunacy to give up all our draft picks for 1 player.... Sydney will definitely not let him go for nuthin'...

I mean...haven't the mob down the road & the Kelly Deal, demonstrated how important keeping draft picks is.?...

And, i don't think as a club -after 30 years of mediocrity - that we wanna be back where we've been, berift of renewel or personnel, unless we give up the kitchen sink to get a player...i(e The Croad Deal.)

I'd rather we keep some our high draft picks to get 'the next Chad Worner" , and trade, and maybe use up one, to get the current Worner....

I definitely profess to not having the excellent knowledge of all things, like you do, Biz, ...but after 30 yrs of Docker membership , I know the value of high draft picks...

Funny thing what we might need to give up for a player, a few weeks back when all the talk was that we wanted Logan McDonald all the Eastern States scribes and talk show hosts were insisting that it would take 2 or 3 of our first rounders yet a couple of days ago with Collingwood entering the race for his services the asking price that these same "experts" are saying the deal could be done for 1 first rounder and maybe something else like a late or a future pick. Amazing how we are seen by these guys, just props for their little VFL competition.
