How was the nervous murmur from the Freo crowd as Fyfe marked the ball on the 50 in the third quarter (I think), and went back to take the kick for goal? i haven't heard anything like it since Clive's days. I think I sort of groaned / chuckled when Fyfe was lining up, and then I felt really bad because everyone else did the same, and he's been a great captain and a Brownlow Medalist and he deserves more respect than to be mocked by smartarses like us.
And then he promptly kicked it out on the full. Of course he did.
Serong was did the same thing earlier. Brayshaw couldn't hit the side of a barn at the moment.
Chad Warner takes four steps around a player and slots it from 55.
There was a time in the early 2000s under Damien Drum when we had Paul Hasleby, Troy Cook, and Adrian Fletcher running through the same midfield. All really good players, but that's a flawed combination. We've recreated that with Serong, Brayshaw and 32 year old Fyfe.
