A couple of tidbits to add this morning from the east:
See up the ground vision on @aflcentral on Instagram that clearly shows deviation of the kick off Aish's shoulder/head (assuming it's not AI generated). So, no Kane, it didn't "just brush his hair so that's a mark every day".
Free kicks for umpire abuse are paid at the point of the infraction, so it wasn't a centre-bounce free kick and then a 50 m penalty.
Aside: I'm not usually very convinced umpiring cost us games, but the touched ball, Amiss head rip-off and Treacy non-mark suggests we were certainly behind in the ledger when the game was in the balance.
I thought we played an incredibly disciplined, high pressure 4 (almost) quarter game. Just didn't take our chances.
