I am devastated. I never met Pollly but I always thought that I would some day. I loved his posts, especially when he talked about hockey, which helped me work out that he was a fellow Canadian. I think he mentioned Saskatoon once or twice, my old hometown, and I wondered if he ever lived there (it's a fantastic place to those who really know it). There were many occasions where I thought I should reach out to him, to check this important possibility out. Now I'll never know.

RIP Pollyanna, and deepest sympathy to your family. Will be thinking of you when the final siren sounds on our grand final win. Some day soon.

I have read every one’s posts sometimes laughing sometimes crying. I always looked for Polys posts as I loved his opinions & somehow made me feel better.

Polly's posts were a great mixture of humanity, humour and intelligence - often lightening an otherwise dark thread.

I'm a fellow Canadian who has also come to love footy and the Dockers (but still follow my ice hockey team).

I didn't know him personally, but will still miss him a lot.
