I was not entirely serious, but it's getting closer to the point where I believe it will be too late to make a significant difference.

We should be more concerned that Sumich thinks we are not much better than WC, we won't make finals any time soon because we haven't got the right sort of players and that we should be trading Darcy right away otherwise we are doomed. I take as much notice of Sumich as I do the so called experts who say the world is going to hell in a hand basket. In the mean time China burns our coal to make windmills and solar panels that we buy in order to save the planet. Bizzare.

It's all good and well saying that we should just turn our back on Woodside as some sort of moral statement about the continued existence of humans in Fremantle, but that sponsorship is needed so that people who are reasonably competent at kicking a ball around can earn more money than is required to exist comfortably.

Bang on. Bizarre. Maybe someone could do some analysis and compare the carbon emitted in making one of these godawful wind turbine things to how much they supposedly save in emissions
over their twenty year life cycle.

Ok I've got one. 6 months. In six months time they are carbon neutral. Australia has enough wind to power 75% of the country. The cost per kw/h is very low. The world could drop emissions by 50% in twelve months if truly could be arsed.

But here's the thing. We don't know who is conducting these studies and plenty of shade has been thrown at the bodies compiling them. Companies like Woodside aren't going to discredit these studies and findings, no way. They are good people who sponsor our beloved club.

Look at the technical advances made in a very short timeframe in each and every major war in the last 120 years. If the policy makers and the plutocrats of this world treated the war against climate change as the war it is, we could solve the emissions problem in 12 months. Companies like Woodside, and politicians of all stripes the world over need to become part of the solution, not builders of road blocks.

MM, there will be no oil heaters to run the hot water systems for the showers. You don't think those precious Old Easts fellas are going to have cold showers after a GF do you?

I needed a cold shower after Cody Leggatt applied the Shepherd of the Century.

I'm seriously shocked by this thread.

Why are we not sending the 30 Flags, instead of coal, to China to burn.

Then we could have lots of solar panels and wind turbines.

Actually, we will just order Solar panels, cause after the flags are burnt we should be rid of all the hot wind that has been around this week. Yesterdays 35degrees was a direct result of all the hot air from Sunday superheating Fremantle.

Did any critics of the Woodside sponsorship deal actually go out and try and find another 'morally' or socially' acceptable company to sponsor the Club.

If you are demanding the club do something, at least give them an alternative to choose from. Maybe something the Woodside critics can look at during the next two years of the sponsorship.

When a self-professed follower of the Great Game fails to understand the spiritual necessity of the shepherd, just fails to understand let alone appreciate such a crucial element of what makes the Great Game great, then I despair for the future of this nation.

Actually, I don't. Scratch that. South Fremantle supporter babbling on toothlessly about thugs blah blah blah - who cares?

And, sure, burn the flags but best not try and set the the 30 premiership cups alight. You'll use up all the gas in your meth torches.
