According to News Corp on Wednesday, Hawthorn and St Kilda represent Henry's 'only' suitors at this point in time, with the Hawks currently thought to be 'ahead' of the Saints in the pair's quest to gain the utility's commitment.

The report also states Fremantle is asking for a draft pick between 15-25 in exchange for Henry, with the Hawks currently holding the 29th pick at this year's draft, presenting as the likely required capital in order to strike a deal with Fremantle's list bosses.

St Kilda, meanwhile, presently holds selections 13 and 32 going into November's festivities, with the latter draft choice representing the Saints' probable bargaining chip despite the potential for the Dockers to demand St Kilda's No. 13 pick.

While Hawthorn has every chance of proving the eventual victor in this scenario, the potential addition of Hnery will most likely be at the expense of fellow West Australian livewire Tyler Brockman, who has reportedly expressed his desire to exit Waverley and return to his home state this off-season.

13 or 15 represent fair value for Henry, but I hope he stays at Freo.

Or we could stay inside and play games, I dunno? And he could have a change of heart.
Does Ricky Nixon still know how to contact us?

Late to the topic but Henry is worth a top 20 pick minimum and with what he produced in the second half of the season, he'd push a top 10 pick. I think PK mentioned all the academy picks and compensation picks likely muddying the top 10 so add 5 or 6 spots to anything outside the top 10.

I also don't get the attraction to Brockman. I've watched him a lot and he just goes missing and barely gets involved in games. He would need to improve dramatically to be worth trading for.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Brockman has said he wants to head to Slimeland so that proves he's not worth chasing for a start.

I can see a few players who have struggled to play in their teams 1st 22 choosing WC ahead of Freo as it’s their best chance of getting a game. It says a fair bit about where the two teams are at the moment.

Bizkit sounds like it would be a good replacement for a Gaff or No stat. Wet Toast need a replacement goes missing player

Just on talk of trade, a change in the landscape perhaps.

Other codes are very open about trades, where they will be next year. Coaches and players quite candid. Some of those basketballers in the NBA seem to think aloud as to where they want to be next year.

Of course in AFL there's this, "waiting for seasons end and just focusing on the finals", facade that prevails. Like if there is not blind devotion to your team for the rest of your career best to say nothing.

Enter Brodie Grundy. His current team might win the flag. He wants out. And he's said it. Another team who might win the flag has/is making him an offer? And we know and the world still turns. I think other than the usual outrage machine the football industry is mature enough to deal with it.

A workplace is a wonderful place to be when people openly discuss they want out, for whatever reason. I’ve found team meetings much more interesting when a bit of heat comes into the agenda.

Not surprising given the club rates O'meara over him and won't play both.

It's a shame he got injured when he was about to get another run in the team mid year. I'd like to see him do well again, even if it is at another club (as long as the trade is fair).

I like Brodie, and I honestly think we're a better team with him playing, but if Bell's era has come to be defined by penny-pinching, how does that sit with Bell's decision in March this year to extend Brodie's contract until the end of 2026 after we had recruited O'Meara?

Also, when does O'Meara's contract expire? I thought he only had a year to run when he joined us. Did we extend him?
