Last night's Sandover Medal count displayed how bad the Weagles situation is. Hamish Brayshaw, arguably the best of WAFL midfielders, wins after being runner up last year. He is clearly better than most of the midfielders on the Eagles list, yet was delisted by the clowns and all the ni hopers left on the list got 2 more years to peddle their wares in Eagles colours.Their list management is a joke and they could probably do a lot worse than tossing Hamish an AFL lifeline by picking him up with one of their late draft picks. For that matter even drafting the Owl would give them a mature body of AFL standard who could play in their first 22 while the younger draftees learn the trade.
And a big no to Luke Foley and any other Eagles rejects who find themselves on the scrap heap in coming weeks with the possible exception of SPS, who I had hoped we would draft before Carlton picked him up. I don't think he's happy at the Eagles and I think he may do a lot better in Purple
