Just telling it as I see it on Tabs. If he had a decent injury free run he could have been a dominant forward in the competition at least better than Daniher at Brisbane and a lot of other tall forwards going around. His performance last year when he kicked 7 against Essendon was just a sample of what he could have delivered had he been blessed with an injury free career. Unfortunately for him, the younger tall forward brigade are now starting to deliver on their promise and with a necessary delisting of players at season's end Tabs could be gone along with other more senior players like Colyer and Hamling who haven't been able to hold their place in the senior side for various reasons. Others such as Sturt and Henry will be seen by the list management as having been given enough opportunity and could also find themselves out the door. I'm a fan of both Sturt and Henry but others have grabbed the opportunity to excel when given a chance and spots have to be opened up on the list for new draftees. We have to delist at least 3 and unfortunately someone has to make way

Weren't Carlton one of those reported to be keen on Henry's services? I think they even put a bid in on him at the Draft. The problem for aspiring players is still there though, spots in our forward line at the moment are at a premium and Bailey Banfield is making every post a winner. He is delivering week in, week out at the moment and keeping all the other small to mid size forwards out. The same would go for Motlop I think. I would like Motlop in Purple though.

Gumnut, finally someone who has cottoned on Dan Curtin. Been watching this lad for years. He has been a freo supporter all his life and has been down training with us. I have been mentioning him for years. He is a natural forward. He has been playing in the backline so that the other "Forwards" can show their craft and get drafted. We have no picks for him. So sad. I recon we will be trying to get him back in another Luke J type trade in 3 years time. Sigh.

Dan Curtin is far from hidden, he's been projecting as a top 5 selection at the draft for a couple years and was in the No 1 discussion last year when he was BOG in the Futures match up. He is not getting anywhere near a Freo selection along with Mitch Edwards who will likely go top 10 and is in our NGA academy.

If they get homesick, maybe we get them back in the future but we'd need draft capital for that and we tend to work in a perpetual state of deficit in terms of draft picks.
