"Souv" Larkey would be the player we want from them, but unfortunately he's also contracted until 2024.

I’m pissed at the way Logue and Acres have “ rewarded “ Fremantles investment in their craft and careers. I get sick and tired every time I hear the phrase “ it’s a business and they have to look after themselves “ bullshit. I’m angry at the flippant attitude, pathetic club support and shallow pressers they give us the members. Now Lobb decides to dummy spit and not attend a player meeting. Not happy!!!!!

pffffft.

they are all only playing out of passion for purple and there's no salary cap - look, it's the 1950s!

Even in the 1950s Steve Marsh switched clubs.

So it's ok for the club to delist players and also dangle financial carrots to entice other players to return to WA citing the homesick excuse, yet it isn't ok for a Fremantle player to leave the club to seek extra financial remuneration which will set himself up for life.

He is not being a traitor, it's all about making smart financial decisions. So, what if it is the bottom club offering the money. Maybe they sold him a vision, much like we reportedly sold to Jackson. If Logue enjoys playing footy and gets well paid for his efforts then good on him. North won't stay bottom forever.

I understand supporters being disappointed, I am, I rate Logue, but I wish him all the best and won't succumb to childish booing, unless of course its aimed at an umpire.

The only thing I worry is that we get the best deal we can….for the rest I don’t rate Griff as a person and definitely not as a player.

It could be said that he really likes the idea of a coach that would serenade a football team with his geetar and mumble out Springsteen tunes. It could also be said he likes the idea of having an extra month of holidays every year. Either way, he's gotta listen to Jack Zeibel in the huddle.

But if he wants money, get a trial in the American college system and try to wedge your way onto an NFL side. That's money.

Steve Marsh was completely different. He was born into a difficult situation. He did what he had to do to escape it. It wasn't about money, it was about quality of life.

I think one reason players move clubs is because the club they're at has an attitude that the player owes them something.

The entire draft narrative is that the club has bestowed a gift on the player. If a player goes later than the first round, and plays well, there is this continuing attitude that they can't leave because the club did them a favour.

Hopefully they do actual exit interviews to find out what or who caused players to leave, and try and mitigate that.
