Paul Hasleby reckons he's now solved the Lobb to Western Bulldogs request with this option...

"Former Fremantle star Paul Hasleby threw up Bulldog Josh Schache as an option in a trade for Lobb, given the talented forward has primarily been a depth player at Whitten Oval."

'Talented' and Josh Schache should not be used in the same sentence without the prefix of 'lack of'. He is not a solution to anything other than who the Dogs should delist.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Not sure how we do it, but can we get Georgiades and van Rooyen through any deals involving Lobb and Jackson?

Georgiades is contracted and has shown no interest in heading back to WA.

Van Rooyen will be an interesting one next year. I rated him and he has a lot of Freo connects while being a Freo fan as a kid. He had a good first season in the VFL for Melbourne's ressies and he seems to be prgoressing well. If they don't give him a gig next season, he could be a really cheap and good addition.

Van Rooyen AND Jackson to us is a bit beyond the pale. With Ben Brown trying valiantly but unable to mark I50 at the business end of the season, Weideman failing to push his case, and Jackson likely gone I expect Van Rooyen to be fast-tracked early next year by the Dees. He was showing a fair bit at VFL level this year.

Yes, Van Rooyen was on our radar and was named as emergency a few times. He also played at both ends of the ground in his draft year. They have McDonald who spent most of the year out injured to come back into the forward line and also have Grundy coming in so either he or Gawn a going to take up the other tall forward position, so yep, bring him home.

I've no idea if this is still current post-COVID, but;

The AFL/AFLPA require a minimum of six (?) changes per year.

Lobb wanted to leave last year, but credit to him that he dug-in and played as a significant contributor. My respect for him has only improved. Thank you for your service sir, best of luck and pop the question to that missus mate.

Tucker was struggling to keep his spot and he is wise to seek other opportunity. I'm concerned his game has peaked, but unlike another Peak, let's hope he doesn't score 6 (7?) goals when we next meet his new team.

Acres seems like he only just arrived. This one is puzzling, but the club is sitting on a couple of potential wingman, with things to work-on in fairness. Erasmus (who underwhelms me, sorry) and of course Henry. Emma's Brother is a lock for the left-foot wing, obviously.

Griff. Hmm. I think I'm correct, that JL described having Griff forward was an attempt at chaos. With our limited scoring power this seemed to work for a bit, but it just isn't a strategy surely.

Early season Griff was out 'coz he juggled marks over the boundry, hand-balled behind team-mates and collided with fellow back men. Later in the year, he juggled marks over the boundry, hand-balled behind team-mates and missed shots at goal. But his athletic effort was outstanding!!

I really like him as a clubman, but we'll be OK.

So who are the other two? Meek I guess and Blakely?
