TOPIC: Cox on the table?

That article is complete rubbish and shows very little understanding of the situation. About the only thing they had right was that Cox is contracted for another 2 years after this one. They're just baiting clicks for desperate Crows fans who've been at the bottom of the ladder with little prospect for excitement.

Freo would never be interested in trading him, let alone for a paltry second round pick. That's ridiculous. We have little other cover there and he's taken over from Pearce as the general down back, setting up our play and marking anything loose.

He also loves Perth, has a tonne of close mates at the club and is set for a stint in the top half of the ladder. There's literally no reason for him to leave and there's no 'carrot they can dangle' big enough to do it. Even salary wise, if they were to offer a million for a full back, that would be plain dumb. In doing so, they'd need to offer their first round picks this and next year plus some extra on top.

It just isn't gonna happen and is ridiculous to suggest.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

A predilection for dickhead SAS wannabe man-builders in the preseason makes your club a destination club?

There's only one player comparable in every respect to Cox in the AFL and he's not at the Crows - Aaron Naughton. I'd support any deal that can get Naughton back to WA and the Dockers.

Cox would have gone home last year if he was "home sick" and yearned for a Bald-Nut as a coach.
It's not going to happen especially in a year where they are throwing 800K for Rankine.
They need to look deeper and see who's available at Peel. re Hamling...

So, Cox is a 23 year old key defender, contracted for another two years, could be AA and we wold except an early second round pick?Just a worthless article.

An absolute rubbish article. I’ve said this before I think
He is the most important player on the park for us. To think Izak Rankine is worth more than him is just garbage.

Think how good Cox is now, then think how he has his best footy still ahead of him. Which part of that would point to a trade?

It should be illegal for teams to try poach players who are on 2yrs or more current contracts.
They should be penalized draft picks or something.

Many locals still hunt, fish, and trap. Locals rely on caribou in the autumn, ducks and geese in both spring and autumn, and fishing year-round. Other activities include collecting driftwood, berrypicking and reindeer herding.

You think he'd prefer to play football to this? And a windchill temp that could get to -70.8. what's not to like?

The lady in front of me has never been a fan of Cox. I suppose it goes back to his early days when he would perform the odd strange turnover as a young player finding his feet and miss some pretty easy goals.
Her theory was we should have got rid of him - he was useless and everyone nearby heard about it.
I have noticed this year she is now very partial to him.
I reminded her at the last game that she used to berate him fairly regularly.
She laughed it off and said hes now one of her favs.
Hes always been one of mine - not quite Roger 43 security when he had the ball but getting there.

So, she prefers Cox in the back-line instead of the fwd-line.
That says it all...
