I think Cripps is wired a little like Fyfe; that he's so competitive that when things are going against his team he tries to impose himself on the game with his physicality and sometimes it crosses the line. In his mind, I reckon Cripps was trying to affect the contest rather than hurt someone, but none of that matters. He jumped carelessly, didn't get near the ball (or even really have his arms out to contest it), and collected the bloke in the head.
My guess is it will be graded as careless conduct, high impact and high contact, and he'll get two-matches.
I enjoyed that when the rest of Ah Chee's teammates were remonstrating with Cripps, Neale was the only one who kept playing. It's all business with that guy.
