Tabs doesn’t show much emotion. Kicks a great goal and you’re lucky to get a high 5 of him

O'Driscoll is a star, it was disappointing to see him make about 3 clangers in the backline but forward of centre, watch out. His goal on the run wasn't just welcome, it was expected. He plays just like Isaac Smith.

Switkowski is also a missing piece, he has to come back ASAP.

I would have preferred Banfield to be the sub for the very reason that he could replace Taberner or Lobb if they went down, whereas Henry just runs around the park and does very little.

I couldn't help thinking I was watching Freo play like Sydney when they beat us 3 weeks ago. Short little kicks to break through zones. They also tried it last week but couldn't execute in wet weather.

Freo need as many finals played at Marvel or in dry weather as possible.

I personally don't think the short kick game will win finals, what wins games is elite pressure that Freo applied in the first half of the season and in 2013, and what Geelong & Collingwood are doing now.

Yes, elite pressure is the key - but one good kick and you're on the other side of it and off to the races.

Just on Taberner, he's gets so many soft tissue injuries. He runs a great deal for a big guy. I'd like to see him run less. Play more like Hawkins and less like Cameron .

That last goal they got from a non free paid against English was a joke.
Even the commentators were saying he got away with that one.
If that gave then the game wow .
English had so long and dropped it and threw it up in the air ,play on .bloody hell.
Yes i know there were others for both sides during the game but i think this was the most obvious.

It's always good to read an article on footy by someone who can understand the game - this one is about as good as it gets:

I wish I had that much time on my hands to write about just one game...
