I know that Jackson is still young and will improve but I’ve watched his last three games and I don’t see a player who deserves the highest salary in the comp. Do we really want to hand over valuable draft picks and a big slice of our salary cap for what we saw yesterday. I’m not so sure anymore.

He’s good but we don’t need him. Darcy does what he does but better and we don’t need 2 number one ruckmen one will be disappointed.

Keep the draft picks. Pick the best tall forward we can get. That’s what we need not Darcy mark II

I dont think he’s worth the size of the contract or the draft picks bandied about in the media. The old freo has done this type of deal over and over. I’ve enjoyed going to the draft the last few years and not paying overs for players. Our last few modest trades such as brody and Clark worked a treat.
We desperately need goal kickers as we have for the last 10 years. I don’t think Jackson fills that role, he may replace lobb and his back up ruck capabilities but not the goals. I think we should go a key forward from another team who only has a couple of years left and their team is only offering them a one year contract like Tex walker etc. This will give Amiss and whoever else we draft a couple of years to come good.

So Lobb goes as expected and we're left with Tabener, Treacy, Amiss and perhaps Logue, and then the solution apparently to our already deplorable ability to kick a decent score is to take another young, unproven key forward from the draft who will take a few years to develop.
We need big, marking forwards now because the only proven one we have is Lobb.

Keep Lobb. Tell him to stick out his contract. Treacy and Amiss can play and they will be better again after another pre season. We had a big crack at Logan MacDonald at the end of last year and he decided to stay with the Swans. Not much we can do about that.
