Biz, ‘…Jackson threw Melbourne on his back in a grand final and destroyed the Dogs’.
The whole Melbourne team rampaged over the Dogs in the 21 GF, Fritsch kicked 6.2. Jackson had 13 disposals, 3 marks and 1 clearance compared to Gawn who had 21, 5 and 6 respectively.
It’s a big stretch to say he carried them. My memory is that every time Gawn was off, the Dees lost momentum which is pretty well what happened to them against Brisbane.
It’s not unusual for an early developer kid to dominate junior football, it’s been happening since the first footy was kicked.
If we get Jackson, I hope he does very well.
