1st play 2nd next week which means unless Geelong win, Freo are into the top 3 if they beat St Kilda.

What’s this about our “current form”? Freo have won four of their last five games, including beating Melbourne, Brisbane and Port, who were on a 7-2 roll before today.

Last three games. Unconvincing win against the very lowly Hawthorn at home, then kicked seven goals against a fellow finals contender in Carlton and now luckily hung on against another side at home who are not finals contenders. If you think that recent form is good, I'd be interested in what you consider is average to poor.
A win's a win and all that, but there's no way we are playing as well as we were before the bye.

Plus that 7-2 roll contained wins against NM, Adelaide, WC and Essendon which is to be expected.

I know in recent years some teams ramp up their training loads at some point during the season in the attempt to be at peak fitness for the finals. We’ve seen some of the top teams with 2 to 3 week form slumps in recent times. Possibly something to consider.

Arbitrary definition of "current" form (why 3 not 5 games?), glib description of the Hawks game that was tough and great to watch and dismissive of Ports recent 7-2 record even though it included wins against Sydney, the Saints and the Suns as well as some relative easybeats.
On "current form" there's no reason why we can't beat any of the Saints, Swans, Tigers, Dees, Bullies and Giants.

Who'd I miss?
