JLo has confirmed in an interview that indeed the Logue move could be used again, although he did caveat it with a horses for courses comment.

Weren't you all trying to convince us Logue was a midfielder? I didn't see any of the forward comments so I don't know how you blokes can take credit. Moving a key position player to another key position role isn't a trend setting call.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

It was a run with role. But Griff is an X factor,. Bruisers like him and Treacy could be tried in the midfield if we're a bit small there. Luckily, in the dry, Darcy is a very very good player and gives us grunt and ascendancy in our wins.

Treacy might end up being the better forward in the next few years, but I thought Logue played that third tall role much better than Treacy has this season. He actually took a few marks, and I thought his second efforts were a little better. It’s a really good option to have.

JLo was pretty happy with everyone on Saturday, but he seemed especially pleased with Logue after the game, and seemed to tell him so. I thought that was nice touch given Logue had been dropped earlier in the season.

Logue showed the footy smarts he’s got by being flexible and going forward to play a role and he possibly also could be a midfielder, some just aren’t able to see what could be and they don’t want to see.

Not bad being dropped from the back line to the fwd line.

Logue creates a logjam forward … not great news for Sturt. Hope we get to see him before it’s too late

The things that made Logue good in his positional change on the weekend were his strong marking presence. That doesn't translate well to the midfield without a large number of other skills that hasn't shown previously. He'd proven he could handle a marking contest in the past.

Having an extra 3rd forward option will be very good for us this season and while I always hoped Cox would get another go there, I think he's too valuable now down back as a taller option on big opposition forwards. If Logue can practice his goal kicking, this could be a huge move for us. Even more so with Amiss and Treacy in their first and second seasons who both need plenty more time to develop their bodies and games.

A backline wth Pearce, Cox, Logue and Chapman is too tall if all are on the park at the same time. The opposition small frowards cut freo up. One solution is put Logue forward.

In JL's interview on 3AW yesterday, he hinted Logue was likely to stay forward for the Brisbane game given their talls in their backline. He also emphasised Griff's good pressuring work, meaning 3 talls up forward is less concerning than usual.

Does the ability to pressure in the forward line imply midfield capability?

Biz, is it double jeopardy if Griff goes mid next week and cuts it up? Given the lambasting given to those who suggested he might go alright up forward.

Logue has a tough decision because we all know the back six get the chicks.
