I thought Freo embarrassed themselves a bit today, but they are a young side and they are going to have off days. Also there are some game styles that hold up equally well in the wet as well as the dry but ours is not one of them. Again, I think young teams struggle to flick the switch and change the way they play, and not many of our players have good wet-weather instincts.
But I was actually thinking about Adam McPhee when Ginnivan was hamming it up. It wouldn’t have happened on his watch. I think if a player shows up both you and the fans, and there’s no response from the boys in purple, that is a worrying sign.
