We were coming off a number of weeks where a young group has done really well and last week we flogged the second worst team in the comp and had a nine day break. Combine that with long trip to the Wet Coast ground playing in front of 500 people and lethargy set in and we were done by a better team on the day.

Living like cave men not being able to go out much and a few having come off Covid also I expect doesn’t help.

Our guys will learn from this and we’ve got blokes to step up if others are not putting in the effort.

Freo have been playing pretty average most of the season with short periods of great play. We got exposed today and it'll probably happen again this season. Glass half full outlook hopes the team feels the burn and carries it the next few weeks. Glass half empty outlook knows it's going to take more than two weeks to fix the issues with our skills.

I don't know where all the Logue hate is coming from, he held his own down there today.

The coaching wasn't great, the decision to play Cox forward didn't seem to make a lot of sense. Lobb wasn't doing much so getting him in the ruck and leaving Darcy forward for longer might have helped.

No one's bagging Logue, it was a coaching error playing him on a much larger opponent.

Although Chol kicked 4, read the spin from the website:

You get to take 17 intercept marks as a backman, when those further up the field are letting you down.

Something wasn't 'right' in there today, and, unlike the einsteins Akerrmanis & White on the radio, I'll understand that the repercussions of have 6 out for the past few weeks via covid protocols, does contribute to something being 'not right' in the midfield...

We are a fatigued & plagued team , playing in the wet, after the longest roadtrip any team has to do.

We didnt lose today because Chol kicked 4 on Logue...

Logue gave great effort and if a few others gave the same effort we may have had a chance. If not for Logue we would’ve been beaten by a lot more.

Longmuir’s post match presser is spot on. They are good and we had too few giving the required effort.

Basics of wet football is handball is the last option, slow the play down, kick long under pressure, players crumb the packs in your forward 50m as marking the ball ain't happening.
6.7 ft Mabior Chol pick up loose balls from packs 20 m out and we handballed to much under pressure and into pressure.
