Mush its a departure from the previous model of fielding your best team simply to keep gambling companies happy. Also it rests players. Downside might be that It mightfavours the best teams , with their wider squad of quality players. All speculation I admit.

Blakely wasn't BOG for mine, he had a lot of touches but they weren't particularly effective or accurate. Wade Derksen was BOG with a couple of OOFTIT's probably next best.

I thought Sturt was really impactful without having a lot of the ball while Worner's game the week before was far more deserving of a call up along with Erasmus. I'm not sure where Crowden was last week given he hasn't been listed as injured or having covid but I'd imagine he's also ahead of Blakely.

We also need forwards more than midfielders as only Acres is out of the mid rotation and Aish will probably move out of defense and into the middle allowing room for Chapman and Young.

Out: Lobb, Meek, Frederick, Colyer, Acres Logue
In: Darcy, Amiss, Chapman, Young, Sturt, Erasmus (more likely to be Banfield but i want games in Erasmus)
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

And also Hamling could come in consideration and swing Cox up forward ?

Hamling has a knee injury and has been out the past couple weeks.

I was hoping Logue would move into the 2nd key tall spot given North have lost Larkey and don't have any other proper talls. That way Pearce could take which ever of Goldstein/Coleman-Jones wasn't in the ruck and Logue could play on the next tall forward.

Now that Logue is out, Cox is probably needed to take whoever North bring in to play as a key tall and can't switch forward and show off his marking/kicking. There's a chance Chappy/Ryan could cover that role but I doubt it now.

Yeh...dunno? Mushroom.
Sounds a bit too much like the fast bowler rotation policy , to me.

There could be some benefits, but, put the best 22 available on the field , I reckon. Rely on players knowing when they are "right" or "not right".

Get them to treat their selection as a 'priviledge', not a 'right'...

Competion for places, breeds 'the right stuff'.

My guess: Amiss and Crowden in for Rory and Fred. Lobbs are big shoes to fill but the Owl is a good replacement for Freddy and Treacy assists a lot of goals. A good forward line.
Aish to the wing in place of Acres, with some rotation through the middle. Meek to stay in and help out on a wing perhaps.
It's a lot of changes but we will put out a pretty decent team especially with Darcy back.
Not sure whether Erasmus comes in, or Blakeley. We'll see.

Yes, Amiss is a classic ironic Aussie name for a goal sneak. Very last millennium.
