I am with you Drubbing - I think education / critical thinking capability is more a factor than age. In defence of young people, I work at a university and the message from our student body is that they support the university bringing in a vaccine mandate for staff and students - we don’t have one as yet. They want their lives back and I would suggest the majority have a greater emphasis on social justice / community good than my generation (GenX). I am impatient for them to start running the show!

For anyone who's interested in what drives anti vaxxers, the ABC have a great podcast series on conspiracy theories that delves into the attractions of cults like anti-vax, Q Anon and others.
There's a range of psychological payoffs, but essentially it's about unmet emotional needs. I have a bunch of anti vaxxers in the family, one of whom is now into Q Anon as well; and they are quite different people, with different backgrounds and education levels. But they all have that 'unmet emotional need' in common.
