Erasmus can play half forward or wing.. Erasmus is more similar to Goater than Johnson.. Matt Johnson Is more of a pure midfielder.. it’s easier to get games into Erasmus because he can play anywhere than Johnson.. Johnson is the obvious pick.. I would be surprised if we pop around his house and give him his jumper later on tonight.. might have to wait a bit for The Godfather offers to come in

If we use this pick it's really a choice between Johnson and Motlop. Whilst Jesse would be good we already have a heap of small forwards and I think he would be competing with Liam Henry for a spot so I'd prefer Johnson who is a different style of midfielder to Erasmus. If we could round out the draft by getting Johnson, Serong Junior, Eric Benning and maybe Bailey Rogers I'd be satisfied. Still a shame about JVR though.

Any deal we do for pick 21 will be with the idea of still getting the player we are after. Fremantle may have their eyes on Jack Williams. If so they can possibly shift back a few spots and strengthen their draft hand for next year.

I just discovered that Colin Young is Johnson’s manager so have gone off him entirely, leave it in the recruitment teams capable hands and trade down the order for a couple of second rounders either both this year or one future pick and one this year.

Trade down the order a couple of spots to pick up an additional future/current pick while still getting Johnson. There's a lot of Vic teams with picks after us who hopefully rate Johnson a bit lower than some others still left like Goater and Knevitt.
