I don’t like people that lack integrity.
We’ve shown a willingness to work with our playing group to ensure reasonable requests are facilitated. Players that we’ve felt aren’t in our future plans, have been released early to free agency. Other players have ended up at the club of their choice.
Players like Brad Hill and Rory Lobb, that agree to come to our club in good faith on generous conditions then changing their minds irritate me. Surely as a club you can’t allow this to be perpetuated. In the instance of Brad Hill and Lachie Neale we were able to achieve positive outcomes for the club.
This year is an unusual draft year with Covid, and changed circumstances clubs aren’t being compensated to the same level as history would suggest. The draft is compromised due to differing amounts of footy.
I believe that if somebody treats you well then it should be reciprocated.
