Yep I agree now, get the very best we can for Lobb and lets move on, no use keeping a player that hasnt got 100% of his heart in it. We played well without Lobb and we can do it even better next year with Cox and Meek filling roles and it presents opportunities for Sturt to play a Fritsch type role or for us to trial one of the new draftee forwards we pick up. Let's start moulding our forwardline into an efficient goal kicking machine.

This whole thing is intriguing and confusing.
(i) He wants to leave because if his girlfriend being in Melbourne but he may chose a Sydney team?
(ii) He is willing to take a significant pay cut to achieve (i)
(iii) He is desperate enough to want both (i) and (ii) but we still see him as a required player that will deliver benefits equivalent to $700k p.a. 2022 even though he doesn’t want to be here

Theoretically I'd do it Wingman however I'm less convinced by Callaghan as others. He's been a bit of a bolter this season and I saw a couple of his games where he played really well but not enough to lock him in as the second best available in the draft (excluding Daicos/Darcy). He's big, quick, smooth on the outside, explosive in the contest and looks every bit a footballer. I just don't think he's played enough consistent footy to be a lock there.

I'd do that deal anyway but not due to the attraction of Callaghan in particular.

I totally agree Shane. I try not to get carried away with some of the more unrealistic gossip and innuendo that’s around at this time of year, but surely some commentary is reasonable to provide distraction during slow news days? If that’s a concern you are in the fortunate position of being able to wave your moderator’s wand but that may result in 90% of the posts from the last couple of weeks being deleted.
