Gummy, if people poking fun at you causes concerns this may not be the site for you.

And if you are relying on David King to provide credible support to your argument well good luck.
For what it’s worth I reckon Lobb is still our best option for that Hail Mary, down the line, please take a mark option. For a guy that supposedly wants to be a forward his kicking, although improved this season, is still poor.
Darcy and Treacy look like great options, as does Tabs if they can stay on the park. And that’s a big if.
However I really do not like seeing players under contract , asking for releases and then nominating clubs. I’m also looking at you Bobby Hill.

Clubs are quite happy to move on players under contract(Hogan)if it suits them so don't see why it doesn't work both ways.

“If you want to play full-forward in the AFL you have to crash packs.”

I don’t think this is really true. It’s a nice trait to have, but so is being 206cm tall.

I can’t see this trade to GWS getting done without at least one or two other clubs involved. Is Lobb really a mega-trade kind of guy?

As JLo stated Lobb is a required player, Clark is the only deal that we possibly need.

I'm pretty thick skinned when it comes to all the verbal jousting that goes on here and I'm fine with that but I think a lot of people are looking through rose colored glasses when it comes to seeing Rory as the man who will deliver us a premiership. Winning a flag requires a team performance and Rory has shown himself to be an individual in a team game. He came to us telling all and sundry that he wanted to play forward, not ruck, and though he has performed admirably on occasions in the ruck role for us it's obvious from his desire to return to GWS that he is not happy in this role. We may not always like what we here from the pundits in the media but some are quite obviously better credentialed to criticise than any of us here. I don't always agree with what Kingy has to say but his and Jordan Lewis 'comments regarding Rory's inconsistent performances are very similar to what Peter Bell had to say about Rory's inconsistencies and failings.
I know he's a big target to aim for but if our midfielders lowered their eyes a bit more often and passed in a more efficient manner to players on a lead we would have a more potent scoring effort. Tabs, Treacy, Sunny Walters and co are always leading but our guys persist in bombing it long or miss the target. Bayley Fritsch is 188cm and kicked 6 goals in the GF so you don't have to be a giant to be a match winning forward and yes they had Ben Brown at 200cm, Max Gawn208cm and Luke Jackson199cm but we have Tabs, Darcy and Meek in the 200cm++ group so we aren't short on big guys either.
JLo and the coaching group will have to model a team style of play that works without Rory in the forward line, we did win games without him and don't forget we have a new forwards coach so give the guys a chance.

Gumnut, Lobb is like the Air Conditioner option in your new car, nice to have, but not needed to make the car run.

Question for Biz. Would GWS trading pick 2 and future second rounder to freo for their pick 6 and Lobb be worth it so we can get callaghan . He seems to be the player JL is looking for

Over there you need the heater option just to get up the guts to drive your car - a/c is definitely needed in WA summers. The car may run but you've got to have people in it to drive the thing.

Lobb should pull his head in and kick some goals next year - then he can call himself a forward and explore a trade.

When fit he's played forward the whole season except for giving Darcy limited chop out in the ruck. What 207cm player thinks they won't do a bit of ruck work?

I'll stick with what i said when we recruited him-he's not a particularly good forward and he's not a particularly good ruckman. Unfortunately he has an important role in our forward structure and won't be easy to replace. It will free up some of our salary cap though.

He doesn't want to be here so get what you can for him. He'll be 29 this year, so another year and it will be too late.
