I don't really get the term body of work when talking about drafting someone. We're not talking about an artist and of course recruiters are going to look at how someone has performed over a season, not just a handful of games.

Saying that, Van Rooyen and Amiss are very similar in their output. Van Rooyen kicked 34.14 from 9 colts games and Amiss 51.15 from 15 games. The difference between the two is that Van Rooyen also played 5 league games and was also used very successfully at CHB in the U/18s state team.

I would rather we pick Van Rooyen over Amiss but would be happy with either.

Erasmus with the first pick would be my preferred choice, I'm convinced He's been hidden as best as they could because he missed out on signing up to the eagles academy.

How good is Erasmus really, I'm still not sure that he would warrant picking ahead of JVR, Amiss or any of the other well credentialed midfielders who are likely to be available when our first pick comes around. From what I've seen of Matt Johnson he seems well worth considering and guys like Goater, Rachele and Callaghan from over East also compare favorably.
Has anyone on this site actually seen Erasmus who can give an unbiased appraisal of his talents and what sets him apart as a top 10 pick?

Good point Gumnut, all I see is that according to champion data he was the 2nd highest ranking player in the WAFL colts this year, there’s never any mention of who’s ranked 1st, probably someone way down the draft order who would just show how bad champion data is.
