“Bowling a maiden over” is not the same as calling both a male and a female player a “batsman”. Clearly the latter is an incorrect label because a female batter cannot be a batsMAN. It’s simply a biological fact.
Also, consider “Bowler” which is already gender neutral label. Seems perfectly acceptable to everyone. I don’t hear anyone suggesting it should be changed to ”bowlerman” and “bowlerwoman”.
Im not sure why that is all so threatening or controversial to some people?

Geelong looking like early favorites in the Jerks of the year with their not dealing realistically with other clubs. Pick 25 is a very good deal for Jordan Clark particularly as Geelong have shown little or no interest in giving him a run in the seniors this year. The whole Trade period functions properly only when clubs operate in good faith, a characteristic Geelong are showing little of in the last few seasons. I would seriously look at doing no future deals with this mob of sods with their geriatric list. They are just trying to buy a premiership and show little imagination both on and off the field. Bar them from next year's trade period!!!

Yeah I think pick 25 will get it done. I don't know if he could front up to pre-season next year and it not be really weird. As a high pick you sort of expect to get games they really haven't given him those games, he hasn't developed because there hasn't been heaps of VFL games either. In that first year he was really showing a fair bit but they have gone with others. He stayed last year after not getting opportunities.

They will have to cave with pick 25. Maybe a future fourth round pick as well.

I can't really see what else you can offer

Perhaps there is a problem with being a high pick and expecting to get games.

I’d say the bigger problem was Matthew Scarlett’s capacity as a non-arrogant thinker.

Whatever. I have minimal expectations of any deal being done here and minimal expectations of Jordan Clark being awesome at footy next year wherever he plays.
